Brisbane Roar have confirmed their Ninja A-League side will make club history in April as they head to Singapore as part of their first-ever overseas tour.
Jetting off during the FIFA International window in April, the Roar will spend five days in Singapore in preparation for a landmark exhibition match against a Women’s Premier League (WPL) All-Stars side.
As part of the trip, Brisbane will also put on junior football clinics and take part in community engagement events before facing the best of the talent currently playing in the Singaporean top flight.

“This overseas trip presents an incredible opportunity for our squad to experience the challenges of international travel while fostering team growth and personal development,” said Brisbane Roar COO Zac Anderson.
“We are immensely grateful to the Football Association of Singapore for their support in hosting our women’s program.
“This marks a major milestone for our club as we continue our preparations for the final stages of the Ninja A-League season.”
Among the travelling party to Singapore will be Roar striker and Singaporean international Danelle Tan.
“I’m really excited for our trip to Singapore,” said the 20-year-old striker who has more than 20 caps for the national team.
“It’s always special to go back home, and this is a fantastic opportunity to promote women’s football.
“Young aspiring players will get to watch a professional women’s team up close, giving them a benchmark for the level overseas. It’s also a great chance for us as a team to grow closer, both on and off the pitch.”
The return of national team star Tan to her home country will certainly be a huge draw card ahead of the game on Friday April 4 at Bishan Stadium.
“We’re delighted to throw our doors open to Brisbane Roar. It will be fantastic to have a trailblazer like Danelle – playing at the top level, alongside some players with World Cup experience – return and inspire young girls who are dreaming of doing the same,” said FAS General Secretary Chew Chun-liang.
“We are committed to the women’s game here, and we are honoured that the Roar will – through development clinics and open training sessions – support our cause. It is exciting to see the WPL fraternity come together for a match I’m certain will spark interest among our young – interest that we are ready to harness with our Unleash the Roar! Initiative.”
