Danelle Tan is a Singaporean footballer, who currently plays for professional A League Women side, Brisbane Roar. She is best known as Singapore’s youngest goal scorer and the first Asian to play for Borussia Dortmund’s women’s team.

Danelle started playing football at the young age of 6. She scored 12 goals on her first day at the football academy! Scoring on her senior international debut, she became Singapore’s youngest goal scorer and the 5th youngest in the world at 14-years-old.

Danelle was the first Singaporean to play in a European League when she made her debut for the London Bees, in the UK. She was also the first Singaporean to receive a scholarship to play in a NCAA Division 1 university, William and Mary, which she chose to forgo to sign with Borussia Dortmund. She is the first Asian to play for Borussia Dortmund’s women’s team.
In her debut season at Borussia Dortmund, she won the Landesliga title and secured promotion to the Westfalenliga. She is the first Singaporean to win a European title.
Domestically, she is an ambassador for Women’s Football and has been cited as one of eight female Singaporean trailblazers in a Straits Times article.
