BANDUNG, 2 JUNE 2026 – The June FIFA window marks a new competitive phase for the Singapore women’s national football team, with the side set to feature in their first official ‘A’ international friendly under head coach Mihoko Ishida.
The 23-player squad is currently in Bandung, where they will play two fixtures at Arcamanik Stadium against Indonesia women’s national football team tomorrow, 3 June at 8pm SGT and Cambodia women’s national football team on Saturday, 6 June at 7pm SGT.
Singapore enter the window ranked 152nd in the FIFA rankings, with Indonesia at 106th and Cambodia at 117th. While the gap on paper points to a challenging set of fixtures, forward Danelle Tan said the matches provide a useful opportunity for the squad to test themselves against familiar regional opposition.

“I am really excited to play against both teams because they are familiar opponents,” said the 22-year-old at the pre-tournament press conference.
“It is always good to pit ourselves against Indonesia and see how we fare.”
Singapore’s most recent meeting with Indonesia came at the 2025 SEA Games group stage, where they fell 3-1. Their only win in the last five encounters came in the 2022 AFF Women’s Championship, a 2–0 victory that ended an 18-year winless run against Indonesia, with goals from Izzati Rosni and Syazwani Ruzi.
Against Cambodia, the most recent meeting came at the 32nd SEA Games in 2023, where Singapore were narrowly beaten 1-0.
Since arriving in Bandung on Sunday, the focus in camp has been on adapting to Head Coach Mihoko Ishida’s playing principles, with the upcoming fixtures marking her first international matches in charge.

“It is our first match under the new coach, and we have been training hard, implementing new ideas and styles of play, and putting what we have worked on into the game,” she said.
Across both fixtures, she stressed that the emphasis remains on internal standards rather than external context.
“Our focus is on ourselves and continuing to improve, regardless of who we are facing,” she said.
